What is love?! As a part of my photo challenge, I wanted to capture love in a different way. Here’s to a couple in love, ready to love, and some love from above (sun flare).
{Challenge 5} 1 John 4:7 – Love
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
Last year (2012), I took some maternity portraits of a beautiful lady. Her little sweetheart was born and oh my, what a doll she is! After little Aniyah finally got stuffed, she conked out and let us get some beautiful portraits of her sleeping. I had such a fun time with her and let me tell you a secret, I did not want to give her back! Her mom also let me use her for my first newborn workshop a few days later (pictures and video clips to come!). Thanks to Lorena for helping out during this session 🙂

I just can’t get over how gorgeous this mama to be is – totally glowing at 32 weeks! This couple just couldn’t seem to take a bad picture – I can’t wait to meet their little girl, Sophia.
They were totally ready for the urban scene. It’s always fun for me to try out new places and find neat looking walls in urban areas. Don’t get me wrong, natural locations are timeless and make great backgrounds, but urban spots are always fun with great colors, lines and textures. I love the modern feel to their images and had a great time capturing such a special time. Plus, Sophia is their first child!

I hosted my first newborn workshop the other day, and I was so blessed to have such a great session. Little Aniyah was an absolute doll and we were able to get every shot we planned. The other photographers really seemed to enjoy it and were getting some great shots. They have already uploaded some pictures, and I just love to see everyone’s style! Plus, I was so grateful to have a videographer come and capture the session – thanks Matt. Hopefully, I will get a sample of the workshop posted to YouTube soon for anyone who is interested in seeing a little bit “behind the scenes”. I was the main spotter during the photography session, but I also got some shots of my own – enjoy!

This weekend I took a trip to College Station to visit my Fiance. I got this picture of him while he was studying for his CPA exam. I just had to capture his deep thought and (of course!) his eyelashes on camera because in my opinion they are just beautiful!
