Baby’s are cute – there is no doubt about that (I mean, I am a newborn photographer) – but newborn kittens are also seriously adorable.
My good friend’s cat had kittens, and my first thought was “how stinkin’ cute!” but my second thought was “I wanna do a photoshoot with them!”. So anyway, my friend was trying to find homes for the kittens so it was a perfect way to get some cute shots to share around. A newborn kitten photoshoot was now required (from my perspective)!
So tell me, would you want one of these kittens if you saw their newborn photos?
Do you already have animals of your own that you now want this kind of photoshoot with?! I hope these photos of kittens from McKinney, Texas put a smile on your face.
I’m located in Dallas, TX (specifically in the Plano, Frisco area), and I’m available for your pet photography needs.
Pet photography has grown over the years, but it’s still not as popular as people photography, is it? I don’t often just to get do shoots for animals but when I do, it’s both a challenge and an absolute blast. Every animal, dog cat or ?, seems to have a different personality and reacts differently to photos being taken. Here are some tips I’ve learned with pet photography that I utilize in my sessions:
Tip #1 – When coming on a pet photography photoshoot, please don’t forget to bring both toys and treats! Sometimes noises stop working and we need to get the animals to look in a certain direction or do something specific –> that’s when we need treats!
Tip #2 – Don’t choose a location where there are already a ton of distractions. Dogs, for example, are already easily distracted (squirrel!), and anything else around will just take their attention whether it be other animals, people, or who knows.
Tip #3 – Be prepared to get dirty and try to have fun during the shoot. Owners will probably be a little sweaty by the end of the shoot due to handling the animals and possibly even playing fetch while I focus on photography so make sure you are dressed appropriately and ready for a small (dare I say) workout.
Dallas locations: Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm, Carrollton, Prosper, Irving, and other areas; Houston locations: Katy, Cypress, Cinco Ranch, The Woodlands, Spring, and more; Will travel for shoots beyond these locations- will incur a travel fee in these cases.
What a beautiful couple these two are! I have actually known them most of my life and SURPRISE! I introduced them to each other and now they are married and expecting their first child. You can’t appreciate doing photos for a close friend much more than I did with Brooke and Brad. And… to put the cherry on top, they are waiting to find out the sex of the baby! Gender reveal will be during their birth photography shoot that I plan to drive down for! I absolutely love them both and can’t wait to meet their little one. As a photographer residing in Dallas, TX but with family in Houston, it’s such a good position to be able to travel home for a photoshoot and also see family at the same time. Congrats Brooke, Brad, and baby ❤
They did a double session: First part was at a natural location in the outskirts of Houston, TX and the second was in their home with their 2 furry family members. It’s always a hoot taking dog maternity photos and having them lick mama’s belly to get the shot!
This was my first double boxer photo shoot and it surely was an eye opener. Lily and Chopper are such beautiful dogs and although not a breeze in the park, it was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed capturing their personalities which were oh so different. Enjoy!
What’s cuter a newborn or a kitten? Well by now, you have probably seen many newborn pictures from me – time to see some kitty pictures. This family sure has double the sweetness added to their home and boy was it a delight to photograph and play with the little rascals!
Do kittens or babies make you saw “Awww” just a little bit louder?
