This sweet little girl made my day with all of her baby wrinkles. When I get these awesome chunky newborns, I just love capturing those details.
This angel was born November 11th at 9lbs 12oz & 20.5in long.
In the collage below in the yellow blanket newborn image on the bottom and the two images above, you can see 4 different sections in her arm – I mean isn’t that simply divine?! Ahhh! My job is the best – It’s hard for me to even consider it a job sometimes because I love what I do so much and just connect with these tiny humans.
Every little client that comes through my doors is unique and wonderful in their own way. Plus, I get to meet some wonderful new parents and some experienced parents that are still swooning over the newness of baby number 2,3, or more.

Since I was 15 years old, I volunteered in my church’s nursery. I have always had a soft spot for babies and seeing their little fingers and toes just puts a big smile on my face. One of my other passions in life is photography and marrying the two (babies and photography) just seemed to mesh. I didn’t immediately go into birth photography when I started my business, nor did I do newborns at first, but somehow God led me into this special niche. Now, I couldn’t imagine giving it up.
Photographing a baby entering the world for the first time was such an experience. I didn’t know if my emotions would get the best of me or not but I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. As I was in the room of my first birth story and as the mother became increasingly more dilated, I became more and more excited (all the while suppressing my inner “giddy” in front of the parents). As the baby’s head was seen for the first time, I began clicking away and then he was finally here! Capturing such an amazing moment and freezing those happy tears and big kisses between mom and dad made me realize that this is where I belonged.
I am a birth photographer & I love it!
Photo: This isn’t a photo from my first birth experience, but rather a photo of a repeat birth client. Her first born son entered the world in 2014 and daughter in 2016 – the resemblance was so uncanny that I just had to put them side-by-side and share! Same hospital, same doctor (and same grip on the babies!), and same parents 😉
8 months pregnant – this radiant mama flew into Dallas, TX for me to take maternity portraits of her! I felt so honored to take her pictures, and we had the lovely MUA & hairstylist from Lisa Max Beauty do Ann’s hair and makeup. This mama was willing to do anything, including posing like a mermaid in the water 😉 I hope I get to meet your little one!
After finishing up the maternity session floral crown, I just had to create a baby crown. Now, mommy can take a portrait and then baby can take one a few months later with a miniature crown – excited to put them into use and see how my vision turns out!
I wonder who will be the lucky one to be a part of my maternity to newborn floral crown idea…
I had the pleasure of photographing a sweet little girl who was so excited to have her pictures taken that she was awake the whole session! Lillian Grace only closed her eyes for a second or two as we took pictures with her daddy, but otherwise she was bright eyed and curious of her new surroundings. Her parents brought in some of their own blankets that match her nursery so we have a variety of new prints shown too. With all of that, her 7 day old pictures turned out nicely (how couldn’t they with such a cutie?!), and I look forward to seeing her grow!
